NO BETTER TIME THAN THE PRESENT!

The #1 advice in almost every self-help book is: Write it down, write it down, write it down!
Every morning when you wake up, or maybe for you the day evening before, make a list of to-do’s. Such a BASIC tool yet so easy and at the same time such a USEFUL tool for success. When you write it down, you also visualize it. Plus who doesn’t LOVE checking off from a to-do list?!?!
A good starting bullet point for Self Care: You can write down notes of things you need/want to work on yourself.
How else are you going to teach your child to take care of themselves if you don’t take care of yourself?
In some of these cases, you can always say to your child: “ let’s do these together daily” This way not only are you building good habits for yourself, but you are also doing the same for them.

Remind them or yourself that, once these tasks become HABITS, they are like riding a bike. Especially if you make it into a routine.
I find that putting tasks or self-goals together into a routine, helps me get it done faster and more efficiently.
To ALL the PARENTS out there:
I too am a mom and I know you are probably thinking "who has time for all this?" Or "Personal Self-care is not my #1 priority."
You need to take care of yourself, before you can take care of anyone else, in a proper manner.

What do you see?
Isn’t everything about perception?
We are the only ones responsible for our happiness. Look within! Create an environment for yourselves that gives you joy, calm (positive energy). An environment that makes you, be the best you. It can be simple as lighting a candle. Having an organized space. Having décor that reminds you of good times, make you proud, or simply touched by you. For me that is books I’ve read, Rocks and shells I collect,
Photography I took and printed. Stay in touch with all your senses. A clean smell, fresh taste, soft touch or a beautiful melody. Find it and hold on to it. Just a space where you can walk in, see the positive and get to working on your goals.
We know that feelings are contagious due to the energy you omit. This is also important to remember, you can also absorb others' energies around you; So be MINDFUL with whom you spend time with.
The saying that "You are no good for anyone till you are good to yourself." is literally my all-time favorite advice.
Make yourself a priority, and learn to love yourself.
Remember, happiness is contagious!
It is also super important to write down daily and weekly goals. I’m adding daily and weekly printable PDF's for your use.

“Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do TODAY”
PHYSICAL
Walk, jog, yoga and my last but most definitely not least, meditate. Dance around the house, while listening to music and cleaning. So even tasks that are not for Self only can become for self as well.
I even throw in Yoga moves/stretches while I do daily home tasks. I will get more in detail about poses you can do daily and share soon.

Have a Self Care day weekly for detailed, more time-consuming care. You can pick a day of the week. Call it Self Care Sundays. I will be posting another blog just in Self Care in the coming weeks.

MENTAL
Meditation, It can be a few minutes, quieting you kind. It can also be, a time where you put away all distractions (Cell phone, AirPods, Turn off TV) and just be mindful in the present moment.

INTELLECTUAL
Education should never stop after University. Learn something new every day. With access to the WWW, a library at our fingertips. You can even make a list of all the things you wish you knew more about. Some things that are quick and some may require days, or even months. As long as you keep learning and growing, you can rest easy knowing you are keeping you mind active and your knowledge base wider. I like to call this, being Open Minded. I will be going into more detail later about this in detail at a later time.
